In the Studio: A Glimpse of Our Creative Sanctuary
I started Holly Lane when my oldest was just 5 years old and my Ben was still traveling around in a baby backpack. Those were the days. Recently we were reflecting on how the kids grew up under a craft show table and how none of them can really remember when Holly Lane wasn’t part of their lives. They have been to many states, met dozens of artists and learned that you can indeed take an idea or a passion and turn it into something beautiful. I love being mama to this bunch and feel like Mother’s Day is such a great reminder of the way these five amazing blessings have made me want to be a better person. They bless me with their laughter, their joys, their faith, their stories, the people they have brought into our lives and their prayers.
I know many of us are missing the ability to call their moms on Mother's Day for a number of different reasons and that this holiday can be extremely hard for some of us. Just know I understand. I also want to publicly thank my step mother for being a wonderful mom and my sister for being an incredible support. I know that God has blessed me through them and that He continuously surrounds us with women that we can look to for guidance and encouragement. I hope you can say that is the case in your own life. You are loved.
Favorites This Month: Spotlight on Timeless Treasures
Love is Kind has launched and is on our website now! A simple reminder of the verses found in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, Love is Kind focuses on the precious attributes and great power of love. Use this piece as a conversation starter to explain how important it is to love fully and what that looks like according to the bible.
In designing this piece I wanted to focus on the powerful words within the verses. There are so many beautiful traits of divine love that it was difficult to choose just one but ultimately it was the word “kind” that won over my heart. With there being a return to the importance of kindness in the world, it seemed like a good opportunity to remind those around us as well as ourselves that love truly is kind and gentle. The words on this newly designed piece are clear and true and I hope you’ll find them encouraging as well.

Father’s Day is June 16th and I’m hoping to help you celebrate the men in your life with two special pieces just for him. I’ve taken two of the most beloved themes from the Holly Lane collection and created men’s pieces to serve as a reminder of them.
Always Present is a beautiful reminder that our God is “our refuge and our strength” and we can turn to Him in times of trouble. I’ve also added a version of the Three Cross Necklace in pendant form for our men. This piece is a reminder of the hymn “The Old Rugged Cross” and has been a popular theme for many years. I’m hopeful that our fathers, brothers, uncles and sons will enjoy this piece as it witnesses the power of the cross. Be on the lookout for these newest pieces to land before Father’s Day.
In the Community: Making a Difference Together
In keeping with the theme for the year “Do Good Works” and following through on our commitment to support ministries close to our hearts, I am planning a trip to help with Eight Days of Hope in Buffalo, NY this July. I will be joined by a few of my kids and their friends and I hope you will consider volunteering too!
Anyone can participate no matter your skill level. Room and board are included for free during the trip and you can serve the entire eight days or a minimum of even just two days. To learn more about what is involved please visit www.eightdaysofhope.com.

Planning your summer vacations?
I'll be in Myrtle Beach from August 2nd to 4th this year. I'll be at the Myrtle Beach Craftsmens Classic, where I'll be showing my work as well as taking a little vacation time. I would love to see you there! This is also a great opportunity to visit my good friend and collaborator, Amy Cox of Albatross Pottery. You can check out her work on her Etsy site and also see her at the show. Amy's unique style of beautiful pottery is something I truly admire, and I hope you will too! Meet the Artists: Get to Know Tiffany and Kathleen!
Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and that means we are working hard on One-of-a-Kinds to help you celebrate mom this year! When I say we, I’m talking about myself and Kathleen Copolo, our amazingly talented studio manager. Kathleen has worked in our studio for four and a half years in a variety of roles. From shipping to customer service to inventory control, Kathleen has proven herself to be indispensable to the Holly Lane team. But did you know that Kathleen has a huge part to play in the creation of our OOAKs as well? While I’m responsible for designing the main silver components of our OOAKs, Kathleen takes it to the next level with her skills in beading and jewelry design. With her creative eye, Kathleen makes these pieces come to life with color and balance designing necklaces for the original silver works that are truly unique.The Creative Process: From Concept to Creation
It all starts with the creation of a silver pendant, charm or bracelet component. I handcraft the piece in fine silver metal clay through carving, molding or shaping the clay. When the piece is dry, I’ll sand the rough edges and details and then fire it in a small batch jewelry kiln. Once the piece is fired, I’ll tumble the piece in a rotary tumbler with stainless steel shot and water. This method shines the pieces up beautifully. Kathleen then oxidizes the pieces and gives them another short tumble before going to work on the beading of the silver. The end result is a one of a kind design that is sure to be as unique as the wearer!
